Performing three concerts each year, the Centre Symphony Orchestra has been part of New York City's performing arts community since 1960. It has been led by distinguished conductors such as Jak Zadikov and George Tsontakis and featured many fine soloists including Gil Shaham, Sarah Chang, Fred Sherry, and Marc-Andre Hamelin. Our guiding vision, championed by our benefactor and former president, the late Jon Brodsky, is to be open to all amateur, semi-professional and professional musicians who wish to come to together to share their love of music and the enjoyment of performing for friends, family and fellow New Yorkers.
